One quire of three bifolia. The last two folios are ‘closed’, i.e. uncut at their upper edge.
In good condition, except for some damage to the upper right-hand corner of the folios.
Text in a single column, not ruled.
One hand typical of
mid-16th-century
Swedish cameral documents. Black ink.
No decoration.
No covers. Sewn through the centrefold.
A clear and well-written inventory of
Nynäs
estate. The records is part of a large group of cameral records pertaining to the estates of
Nynäs
,
Vik
,
Kyllelä
, and
Lahis
. These four estates and their tenants formed the Finnish possessions of
Anna Clemetsdotter Hogenskild
.
The financial records of
Nynäs
and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the
Swedish National Archives
, when the possessions and archives of
Hogenskild Bielke
were confiscated following his execution in
1605
(see

to these descriptions).
