12,5cm × 19,5cm (10,5cm × 14,5cm)
Modern pagination (260–265) in the upper right margin.
The fragment probably derives from a late-medieval copybook. It has been detached and rebound in a manuscript containing a considerable number of later texts. The fragment is in good condition.
One column with vertical bounding lines,
c
. 24–25 lines of text.
One main hand writing a cursive of
late saec. XV or early saec. XVI
.
No decoration.
The copybook fragment has been bound with various other manuscript materials, most of which dates from
saec. XVIII
. The collection is bound in wooden boards with white leather covers. This binding was done in the
Uppsala University Library
in a style used for several manuscripts of the E-collection.
The small fragment with four different texts possibly derived from a copybook written at the
end of saec. XV or beginning of saec. XVI
. It contains documents found in other Finnish sources (
Registrum ecclesiae Aboensis
and
Codex Skokloster
) and may come from the same area.
The fragment was in the possession of
Ricardus von der Hardt
(d. 1714) who used it in his work
Uberior messis quorundam fragmentorum historiae fennicae ac Helsingicae
, 1708
. From him it passed into the collections of
Olaus d.y. Celsius
(1716–1794) with the shelf-mark ‘Nr. 58’ (first flyleaf verso). The manuscripts from Olaus Celsius collection collection were moved to
Uppsala University Library
in
1795
. Manuscript shelf-mark ‘E146’ on the spine and inner front cover.
