There are two separate parts.

Since part II contains records twenty years younger and is of a different size, the two parts seem to have belonged to different manuscripts in spite of having been written by the same scribe.

Both manuscripts are in relatively good condition. Some leaves of manuscript A have been conserved and a few holes repaired. Apart from that there are some stains and fraying along the edges, but little text loss.

 I and II: one unruled column with a varing number of lines.

One main hand writing a cursive script, which leans noticeably to the right, and appears in both manuscripts. Since the sessions recorded took place twenty years apart, the hand may be that of judge Sigfried Persson. The writing in records from 1592 seems somewhat sloppier, which may indicate that both manuscripts were contemporary with the proceedings. The same hand can be seen in a fragment concerning judicial incomes from 1573 (Stockholm, National Archives, Bielkesamlingen, 01 Hogenskild Bielkes samling, Vol. 10: Handlingar rörande Nynäs gård i Nousis socken Åbo län / E 1984).

No decoration.

Both fragments contain two separate string-bound quires without covers.

The manuscripts contain records of court sessions presided by Sigfried Persson in 1572–1573 and 1592–1593. Their different sizes suggest that there were two separate manuscripts, although both were written by the same experienced scribe – probably by Sigfried Persson himself. Both manuscripts were probably written relatively soon after the actual court sessions. The records seem to represent fair copies as they contain no cancellations or additions.

Swedish National Archives’s stamp on I (fols. 1r, 17r). Number ‘3’ in the upper margin of I (fol. 1r). According to a pencil-written note (II, fol. 13r) that fragment at least arrived from the Svea court of appeals in 1955. However, the envelope within which the fragments are stored is dated to 1938.
