                tenants. The period involved stretches from at least <origDate from="1514" to="1521"
                  >1514 to 1521</origDate> (fol. <locus>3r</locus>: 'Anno dni m dx<hi
                  rend="superscript">o</hi>iiij'; fol. <locus>56v</locus>: 'Anno dni mdxxi'). The
                contents mostly comprise notes on the finances of Lahis and its tenants, e.g.
                payments of various kinds, slaughtered cattle, etc.</p>

          <history>
            <origin><p>A financial record revolving mostly around <origPlace>Lahis</origPlace> estate but most naturally
                seen as part of a large collection of surviving manuscripts concerning the
                estate-complex of <placeName>Nynäs</placeName>, <placeName>Vik</placeName>, and Lahis. This register is the second oldest in the
                series of <date from="1500" to="1599">sixteenth-century</date> financial records pertaining to these
              estates.</p></origin>
           <acquisition>
              <p>The financial records of Nynäs and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and
                later the <orgName>Swedish National Archives</orgName>, when the possessions and archives of <persName role="owner">Hogenskild Bielke</persName>
                were confiscated following his execution in <date type="acquisition">1605</date> (see <hi rend="italic"
                  >Introduction</hi> to these descriptions).</p><p>An archival note attached to the
                    front cover reads: 'C52. Räkenskaper för Nynäs I Finland 1514−<hi rend="strike"
                      >1519</hi> 1520 (slägt <hi rend="strike">Fleming</hi> Bielke o. Tott)' and
                    'Lahis'. Previously part of the Bielkesamlingen from which it has been moved to
                    Codices C (f. 1 has a marking 'Från Bielkesamlingen').</p>
