                  <placeName>Nynäs</placeName>, <placeName>Vik</placeName>,
                  <placeName>Kyllelä</placeName>, and <placeName>Lahis</placeName> estates in
                  <origDate from="1551" to="1554">1551–1554</origDate>.</p>
              <p>Consists of nine quires numbered 2–10. The manuscript begins at the end of a tenant
                register concerning the year <date>1551</date>. </p>
              <p>The content is ordered chronologically and then estate by estate. By quire and
                folio:</p>

          <history>
            <origin><p>A well-written but fragmentary <title>tenant register</title> that is missing at least one
                quire from the beginning. The missing part could be unit 11 in this same archival
                volume (<ref type="mss">Stockholm, National Archives, E 1988 (11), Bielkesamlingen, 02 Adliga ätten Bielke,
                  Nils Pedersson Bielkes maka Anna Hogenskild (†1591), Vol. 4: Godshandlingar 1551–1552</ref>): the content seems right but unit 11 has suffered damage that the quires
                discussed here have not. As several copies or transcriptions of these types of
                financial records could exist, it is difficult to reconstruct the original
                manuscript’s composition with certainty. As a case in point, one can compare this
                manuscript’s section on <date>1553</date> to three other similar tenant registers from 1553, all
                concerning the same estates (<ref type="mss">Stockholm, National Archives, Adliga ätten Bielke, Vol. 4, records i (fol. 92–138),
                  and Vol. 5, record i and ii</ref>).</p></origin>
            <acquisition>
              <p>The financial records of <placeName>Nynäs</placeName> and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and
                later the <orgName>Swedish National Archives</orgName>, when the possessions and
                archives of <persName role="owner">Hogenskild Bielke</persName> were confiscated
                following his execution in <date type="acquisition">1605</date> (see <hi
                  rend="italic">Introduction</hi> to these descriptions).</p>
