A fragmentary tenant register concerning Nynäs, Vik, Kyllelä, and Lahis estates in 1551–1554.

Consists of nine quires numbered 2–10. The manuscript begins at the end of a tenant register concerning the year 1551.

The content is ordered chronologically and then estate by estate. By quire and folio:

Quire 2, fol. 1r: 1551 (fols. 1v–2v are blank).

No covers. The quires are sewn through their centrefolds but not tacketed together.

A well-written but fragmentary tenant register that is missing at least one quire from the beginning. The missing part could be unit 11 in this same archival volume (Stockholm, National Archives, E 1988 (11), Bielkesamlingen, 02 Adliga ätten Bielke, Nils Pedersson Bielkes maka Anna Hogenskild (†1591), Vol. 4: Godshandlingar 1551–1552): the content seems right but unit 11 has suffered damage that the quires discussed here have not. As several copies or transcriptions of these types of financial records could exist, it is difficult to reconstruct the original manuscript’s composition with certainty. As a case in point, one can compare this manuscript’s section on 1553 to three other similar tenant registers from 1553, all concerning the same estates (Stockholm, National Archives, Adliga ätten Bielke, Vol. 4, records i (fol. 92–138), and Vol. 5, record i and ii).

The financial records of Nynäs and related estates came to the Swedish Crown, and later the Swedish National Archives, when the possessions and archives of Hogenskild Bielke were confiscated following his execution in 1605 (see Introduction to these descriptions).
