          <history>
            <origin><p>There are two manuscripts: part I has two sections of different quality. The
                beginning of the manuscript is apparently a rough draft, with frequent cancellations
                and additions. The second section records proceedings by the same judge who appears
                in manuscript II, <persName role="judge">Claus Holst</persName>. It appears a more finished product and is written by
                the same scribe as manuscript II, which seems to be a transcript, although there are
                a few cancellations, and several entries lack exact dates. The writing was probably
                done soon after the actual court sessions.</p><p>Contemporaneous headings and
                binding suggests the manuscripts were kept as separate units from the start. They
                did, however, belong to the same collection.</p></origin>
            <provenance>
              <p>I, fol. 1r: ‘203’. A modern hand has numbered the manuscripts as ‘1’ (I) and ‘2’
                (II). Apart from this, there are no provenance markings.</p>

            <acquisition>
              <p>The later history of the
                manuscripts is not known. The material was possibly first moved to the <orgName>Svea court of
                  appeals</orgName> and subsequently to the <orgName>Swedish National Archives</orgName>. It is not mentioned in
                <bibl>Almquist’s (1945)</bibl> or <bibl>Sleman’s (1961)</bibl> inventories.</p>
